Every Last Thursday of Gregorian month, Bikalpa an Alternative jointly organize the “Last Thursday’s” event at Biratnagar in coordination with Hotel Namaskar, E4N and Makalu Television. Objective of the program is to disseminate the ideas and knowledge about entrepreneurship through the sharing of successful entrepreneurs. Also the program creates an opportunity to do networking and share ideas.
On the episode of July, Entrepreneur Mrs Ganga Subedi, Writer and Director of Malaku Television Biratnagar, was invited as a guest speaker at the program. Program was started at 4:30. Basanta Adhikari, Director of Bikalpa Alternative moderated the program welcoming the participants and guest speaker. He also shared the objective of the program. After his welcome Speech, Mrs Subedi shares her personal story. She started with her childhood. She said the keen sip with grand parent is very important because what they implant in us helps to nurture our future. Sharing about her journey she was interested in the literature and after her marriage she got involved in her family business and her Social entrepreneurship Journey started.It is important for everyone to earn the money but humanity too is important than it. Positive thought and hard work is only key to success for anything. Hardworking and dedicated person can grow from anywhere. Women empowerment is important for our society. We should have to provide proper skill to them for their upliftment of soci- economic development. She articulated that Foreign AID money is not enough to do the Social Welfare to the people. After the guest speaker concluded her deliberation speech, the floor was set open for interaction among the participants for an hour where Mrs Subedi clarifies the participant’s queries. Reema Shrestha Director of Hotel Namaskar, handover the token of love to the guest speaker and she also shared some of journey of her work. The Program was formally ended at 5:30 and before heading for tea and informal networking. The program was organized at the venue of Hotel Namaskar,Biratnagar. Total numbers of 83 participants took part in the program.
