Friday Discussion on Population Causes Prosperity

Friday Discussion is a program designed to engage and inform the core members on the ideas of free market economy and classical liberal ideas. Discussions are made on the contemporary issues (local or national) through free market perspective. Article is selected and shared within the members to prepare oneself for the program. The program is organized at the venue of Hotel Namaskar, Biratnagar on every alternative Friday (twice a month).
On this series, discussion was made on the Article of “Population Causes Prosperity”, where 13 numbers of participants took part to discuss their views. It was hot and live discussion where participants discussed on the Population Causes Prosperity.

As we know Human beings are only Ultimate Human Resource. Human capital is the important factor in the growth of economy. Human Being is only species capable of creating wealth. So Understanding from economic point of view Human resources are boon for any country. Human beings are interdependent in each other and no one can be Self Sufficient. Self sufficiency means economic Suicide. In densely Populated area there is more comparative advantage and specialization of work. Hence due to which the prosperity is possible by exchange of goods and services. While in discussion some argued Not More population but Mobility of population is important for the growth. When there is more population then there would be more hands. Due to more population the balance between the Human and Nature will be affected. We have limited resources. Skilled human resources are only boon for the country. Many participants were in doubt and had argument regarding that most of our citizens are unprivileged of their basic rights and how Population causes Prosperity. 1:15 hour of the discussion session ended with a lot of the participants’ concerns discussed upon, and a general understanding to Human capital.
